hi Jo hope you get some favourable winds today. there are some nice green carrots dangling around on sunday, if they stay around you and Rob should come up and try queens, I should be able to get a couple of hours on the water.

Sounds tempting Lungs. Take up the bump and jump/wave gear rather than slalom? I`ve heard Queens works on a SWerly. Have to talk Rob into it.

well once again Jo the green has faded to yellow and swung to sw (was se when i first looked) should've known better than to trust a 7 day forecast.
queens works best on a se to ne for w to sw the woody point yacht club and bells beach at pelican park is the go, but i believe wello is better i'll have to get down to compare but don't like driving on a promise of wind it has to be a sure bet

Lungs, i sailed Woody two or three weeks ago in a sw, was pretty good plenty of bump and jump for sure. Id say that wello has the edge though for a sw, last weekend was pure bliss

hi lee woody point has produced a few good sails in recent years and i'm sure the new jetty would make a good vantage point for a photographer especially being a lot higher than a sailor who might be trying to gybe as close as possible to the jetty with out crashing into it

any photographers out there (Gesty) who would prefer to stand around and freeze the brass whatsits of a monkey than sail

Thanks for the run down on where to go on the Northside and wind directions Lungs! As Lee said Wello was fantastic on Wed and Sun; it works on so many directions and good grassy space for rigging up, but I`ve found u have to get down earlyish for a car park and it seems that the SWers die off a bit later in the day.
I`ll let u know on the forum if I thinking of heading over a couple of days ahead if it`s looking promising; although it`s been hard to judge lately!

i've often wondered about taking photos off the wello jetty.

and yes i don't mind standing around when the conditions are good for photos or if the subjects are flashy......

haha I've crashed into it, but was on a 18ft catamaran, wasn't fun trying to extract ourselves from it either
