Bookmakers were happy to accept a bet from some clown who thinks he can win the rookie event at the Waterloo Cup.

They moved his odds out to 250/1 when they noticed he had his harness on back to front and it was held together with fishing line.

he only wears it backwards on starboard tack.(and the fishing line comes in very handy on windless days)...

Meanwhile competitors in the VET's division have refused to put their arms up cows bottoms !!!

Training for the cup has stepped up a notch, with the second favourite ( Simon ) now joining Dave Mac as equal favourite after a quiet 176klm session on new years day.

The Rookie could be a late scratching after he was spotted outside the vets quarters on all fours trying to immitate a cow.

A late entrant who will require some respect and could push for favouritism, is thespeedster from M.B.M. the very fit Glynn.
