Okay so I'm at the Tin Can Bay Marina for a couple of days and its blowing 20-30 knots. Anybody windsurf around these parts ?..

Dave's family still live at TCB.
When we lived there in the early 90's we would windsurf just out the front of the esplanade - this was high tide only. 2 hours or so either side of the high tide would work.
Low tide we would do speed runs down schnapper creek in a SE but it might be too busy with boats to do that now.
There were never many other windsurfers there apart from us.

Go for it in high tide but watch out for the oyster shoals out the front - wear booties!

Did many years out the front sailing and is great fun but not at low tide!
