Hi all,
I'm relatively new to this sport and new to brissy. I was wondering what the clubs are like over here (Windwanderers seems nice and social - is that the only one?). I'm looking to work on getting gybes down pat and just meet people and have some fun. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My gear is currently still in Perth, but would love to meet people at this stage and find out some more about windsurfing qld until my stuff arrives. Thanks in advance! D

Hi Daniella,

Welcome to Qld. Get in touch with bayside sailboard club at info@baysidesailboards.com.au.

We run racing, coaching clinics, and everyone just gets along to enjoy the thrill of our sport.

If you want to get the general low down on all thingswindsurfingmin Brisbane then headnover to board crazy at woolloongabba. By far the leading windsurf shop in brissy. Sat mornings will usually find a lot oftimewasters filling up Simons shop.

See you on the water

Yay, thanks Darryl. I'll check it out. I'm really hoping to get these gybes down pat. Thanks again and hope to see you on the water!

Lots of good info here also re shops, schools, clubs etc. www.windsurfingqld.com/

I hope you have some biggish gear in your kit, a friend of mine came from Perth and the board was the size of a small surfboard with a 4.0 and a 5.0 as his only sails.
