Alongside the RB Worlds we are running
Bic Techno 293 Oceanic Championship
Division 2 Oceanic Championship
and Open Windsurfing festival for any raceboards that don't fit the above categories.
Open Festival will have a sail limit of 7.8 and 2 board length categories, (over and under 3m).
Other categories may be included depending on entries.

Notice of Race is here

Hi Guys,

Any D2 troops gearing up in QLD for 2016 Oceanic-Brisbane?

Time flies.

Cameron, are you planning to race with your DB 2?

no I have a raceboard entered, the db2 will be good to go if you need it just need a mast track for it or worst case put the old one back on. I have a barracouta 9.5 as well that can be used its dacon with no cams but could be useful.

I also know of a crit D2 is Brisbane that could be available

Hi Cameron,

Thanks for the offer. Highly appreciated. Mast track is the white one with pedal?

Crit D2: Might be interesting also as we could be 2 sailors for northern hemisphere. Could you further investigate?

We D2 sailors need to align also between us about type of sail and course design.

I was under the impression that we agreed 7.5 type sails for all...We will be very few D2s so we believe we can reach compromise between us.

Hi Eric

Any idea where to get that mast track from? I was thinking about trying to get a techno293OD track as an alternative

Made a mistake the second board is a Ten Cate not a Crit but it is available

For the DB2 I believe a Fanatic mast track, the one with large black pedal, should be adaptable...
They are on Lechner A 390, just need to slightly reduce length of rail.
Can you measure length and width of space for mast track on the board?

TC Win is fine!

Hello Cammd,

Did you fix mast track issue?

Who else is coming to Brisbane with his or her D2?

We are 3 so far...Let's be 5 and we make a division and have our podium...go, go go..:)

Sail limited to 7.5 -7.8 as discussed previously.

Come on guys ;)

No I haven't found a mast track yet but can mount this back in again, won't be adjustable on the move but apparently works ok with a normal mast base.

The fin box has been remounted and the delamination repaired, the centre board and fin are from a Lechner I was told, the centreboard is a bit to fat but I will try and solve that issue.

Still needs a new paint job and the inspection port to be mounted, I had to cut a hole to get the fin box out of the hull

Does anyone know who belonged to KA-250, your fin and centreboard are still together as a set and getting ready to be campaigned again

Camnd,

I see that holes for inserts have been filled...It won't help for screwing another one.

I fear also that mast foot won't fit either, apparently being too thin...I'll check what type of mast track we can insert.

Can you provide exact dimensions (cm) of mast track location?

OK solved the mast track issue, modified an old RSX one (cut down by 90mm) and fitted, its bolted through so its solid I think it will work quite well

Only thing is it sits a little proud so booties will be a must to avoid damaged toes

Hi Cameron,

Mast track should fit within box...why does it rise above deck like this?

It is dangerous for sailor feet...

Hello Cameron

Following cancellation of D2 Oceanics...not time to give up but to keep momentum and regroup to sail D2s

Get closer to Walterm and Chris and other D2 fans...and make it happening, one by one.

Next time it will be D2's turn to shine :) No worries!
