At Currumbin, you swim the gear in. Happens a lot on southerlies.
Otherwise, it's a dump and paddle.
I used to sail SW out the front of Elliott Hds, but made sure I had a sandbar to sail to, and hang on during the lulls.
Darren, would not have been a good idea for you to go out in a SW, don't feel bad for missing it.
