Thx 4 posting the NZ foil video.. extreme.. always a trade-off between endurance and enjoyment..
These are some thoughts - I kite surf...
The reference link below is for the SEQld sites guide..there may be a tip or 2 in the description to help.
Not sure how familiar you are with up here.. basically most sites are viable for WSurfers too.
Suggest satellite view..
All NE facing headlands.. so start with Double Island point.. (4WD territory and some knowledge)
The other headland with a beach - so not all wave onto rocks = and likely in use by WSurfers is Mooloolaba near to the breakwater along to the surf club - the waves really dump on the beach but further out especially when there is a sand build up opposite the river mouth can be epic (Paddle board experience)
Noosa sort of falls into this category but way more rock.. PLUS be aware the council is currently being negotiated with about a blanket ban on the main beach area so river mouth to the other end for all non- surf lifesaving water craft... But having said that the surfing zone is National Park headland all the way back to the main beach 3 main zones - this area may well be surfer carnage.
The rest..loose it you are on the rocks
Coolum, and Moffat beach and likely offshore reef area Between Shelly / Moffat..
The under used site will be old woman island offshore Mudjimba - will be isolated....
