Kicked a goal today

With encouragement and support from Tonymatta and Duncan at Cootharaba I had my first go at racing longboards.

My goal was to get through the start gate and make the first turn. I know all very newbie stuff but i'm stoked!!

I didn't set the world on fire - managed 2 tacks without falling off and kept out of the way of the other boats as they lapped me

Well done. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Tony's helped me a lot too. The Lake is perfect for racing isn't it?


BTW, there's actually a lovely Mistral Superlight on Seebreeze buy and sell at the moment!

Next Race at LCSC will be Sunday 24th of November.
Morning Race 11.00am
Afternoon Race 1.30pm

Then Monomasters regatta the following weekend.

Great! I going to try and find some gear and I am in.

Is there still a board I could borrow up there?

yes I still have boards available.

If it is not raining, I will be there. I might use my slalom rig since it looks it will be windy anyway.
