After a week's windsurfing at Lake Macquarie, I'm realising the extreme limitations of sailing in North Creek & Richmond river here at Ballina. I know plenty of windsurfing is done from the Southport spit, but are there any other good spots closer to the NSW border? Currumbin any good? I'm far from being good (or brave) enough to try the open ocean so some larger stretches of flat water would be great. Any tips greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greg
