I'm thinking about heading up.
Give me a chance to drop in at Surf FX and check out new seasons catalogues.

OK, so where are these places?
I'm staying in Labrador for the next few days, anything close to here?

Google Shearwater esp Runaway bay. That will be the best spot tomorrow if there is any wind, plus it is very close to where you are!

Oh BTW, Shearwater works best with an outgoing tide so get there before the tide turns at about 1pm. Should be nice for a morning sail...

S 18-25 at Gold Coast Seaway right now start driving fellas. It's blowing quite hard at my place at Mudgeeraba which is inland as most of you would know and generally when it's like that here it's really blowing at Shearwater. Will be a bit gusty though

Well that was OK, (in fact my wife came in with the biggest grin on her face I've seen for years), didn't wait long enough for the lull to end though, could have gone back out, but I was already half unrigged.
Great to meet Ken Ho and Evil Panda.
May be again tomorrow?

Nah... I was a bit lazy... was hoping to use something a little smaller than the 6.5 for a change. Took the dog for a walk instead. Unfortunately I had to get back to Brisy. It looked like you were having fun

I got there in time to enjoy a half hour of blasting. Rigged big, as winter wind is always dodgy, and SW is famous for coming in fits and starts.
Nice to meet decrepit and his wife, as well as qldnacra.
Dropped in to Surf FX and updated my ancient extension and may have done a pigeon on a run-out board. The shop is looking very nice and good to catch up with Tealeaf.
Nice day all round !!

Best lunch break ever.

Decrepit and wife have inspired me. You two are really living life to the fullest.

Tomorrow not looking so good, Shearwater will be the windiest and tide is good until mid afternoon.

kenho is right - rig big in winter - I was on 7.4 & lots of board volume was a little overpowered but could keep going through the lulls. @ Evil C - mate when the water is as cold as that any old wobbly thing that keeps you dry is nirvana!!!
