You launch from Whiting beach which is just back from the surf beaches, close to the town centre

I was joking ,back sailing now ,and thank you sail pilot 40 cm is enough ,LOL..I would rather hit coral sand is way more dangerous . Yamba sure looks like a great spot ,Which is the best wind direction for this Run Phil knott .

That looks like a really good spot to practice the gybes and do some nice runs, and a great spot for a weekend away.
What is best wind direction for that spot?

North Easterly is the best. You can sail in a Northerly but can be gusty. At high tide the waves can break over the breakwall so just make sure its not a big high tide when you plan to get out on the water
