Hey guys,

Last day windsurfing at the age of 30... It was last Saturday at Sandgate... small swell, wind was ok at abt 20. But still fun to get out! Stoked anyway.

Watch out for the "Sandgate sandbars" a week after getting the stiches removed from my head ( forward attempts gone wrong ) i managed to get a combat session in at sandgate first run out fully lit up on a 4.5 hit a sand bank which resulted in another 3 weeks out of the water. Regardless im a big fan of Sandgate and Brighton, really enjoy getting out near the pier as the ramps are awesome. Hopefully it wont be too much longer, at this rate im going to have to learn how to up haul again.

Sandgate has awesome ramps in a north easterly. Had a good session at high tide on a 5.7 overpowered in 25 knots. Good thing about high tide and the sand bank is you can stand up pretty far out. Although I had a few difficult deep waterstarts trying to find where exactly I could touch the bottom but a pretty neat spot if you dont mind kiters.

Yeh it's reallly good at very high tide.... better further down at brighton in south winds for sure...

But yeah, at low tide make sure you walk out far... those sand banks will kill you.. lol

sorry about the freaky faces hahaha
