anyone heading to queens this morning, looks like we just had a gust near 40

Going to try for a sail this Arvo around 2.30-3.00ish, 40knots at queens sounds dangerous!!

epic day, full on over powerd and out of control all day on 4.5, my arms finally said no around 4:00pm
some beautifully smooth big swell out the back just after low tide and some nice short steep ramps in close for jumping

Would love to have joined you Lungs. The foot is healing very slowly, may need to go back to the Qak, will know in a day or two. Hey leave some wind for me !

Well done Derek, I had my 4.2m fully downhauled and still couldn't handle the gusts. Had to leave with tail between legs, I hang my head in shame.
Hope to see you out again soon Haggar. Nasty stingray wound, I suspect that is a first for Queens Beach.

Turned up with a 4.7 took one look at the conditions and cursed myself for giving away my 4.2. Good to see Derek and another couple of guys out. Derek has that place dialed, duck gybes in 35knot winds!!

Aaahh its good to be alive, although i probably won't feel like it for the next week.

And its always good to have a small sail even if it gathers dust for most the year

Hey Andrew, my sail was loose from the tip down to the boom, a lot more than the maker recomends and lots of outhaul, its really twitchy in the luls(lesser wind bits) but most time it was ok given the amount of wind, the twitchy/bouncy board was more of a problem trying to keep it tracking in the chop.
No need to hang any heads mate, today wouldn't have been possible without guys like u and that bloke Keith and others
