I'd rather sail at Currumbin, but conditions will probably be better at Shearwater.
Decisions, decisions. First world problem really.

it's okay ken, because you started this thread we know deep down inside you really want to sail at shearwater all the time, and all the currumbin talk is just for show

once one comes out of the closet, those broadwater kiters start to look rather.......

Yup, out of the closet. Had some nice sails at SW this year, kiters not withstanding.
Long drive for me though. Teh Bin is closer.
We'll see. Not as fat as I used to be, so might get going a bit better in the light stuff

If i lived south, i'd be hitting flat rock in ballina for waves in a SE'er. About a thousand times better then currumbin.

swoosh,
agreed, ballina is unrool in a S/SE with some swell. I've also sailed there a couple of times in a NE. Not quite the swell but slightly offshore and you can hug the reef.

Not that convenient from Sydney though!

Pretty typical really.
Makes it a good spot for cycling, golf and having a lay down.
SW will be OK later.

SW was awesome most of the day. Couple of lulls here and there but on the whole fanbloodytastic. In fact the most enjoyable sail i've ever had. Must be the hat i recon

Yeah, it was blowing it's nuts off as I drove home the bypass past the airport.
I might hang about there tomorrow. Once a week is more than enough to drive to SW.
