looks as tho someone has put this up. It seems to be extremely accurate for the local wello area. Not sure if anyone knows about it, but im sure to use it in the future.

looks very detailed. not sure if the wind data is right? looks like it was only 10-15km/h winds today according to the wind observations, but I was definately planing this afternoon, but then I was sailing at manly where it's usually windier.

Well if you make it knots you be spot on 10-17.

Swoosh be unusual that manly would have more wind than wello in a SE normally the other way.

That ones been around for quite a while, I haven't been using it as I think it must be in a pocket somewhere, not near the coast as it doesn't get accurate wind readings.
There is another one located at Cleveland and it seems more accurate:
www.clevelandweather.net/default.php
Max wind for March both 12th - Wello reads 48Km and Cleveland reads 38kts, so I think Cleveland is more realistic for wind in the immediate bay area.

If you put the lat and long into google earth , it is out in the bay !!!

Actually, if you click on the map of Australia, an aerial view pops up with its location. A bit inland of the bay no doubt accounting for different wind readings.
