For all the raceboarders.
The Monomasters Regatta is on the 1st and 2nd of December at the Lake.
Two races Saturday afternoon. One Sunday Morning and one Sunday afternoon.
See Notice of race http://www.lcsc.org.au/monomasters/NOR.pdf

I'm not on official duty this time so I'm looking forward to some good competition from all these new and old boards apearing on the water again.
I may be able to arrange some loan boards if you let me know in advance.

You can come for one day if you can't make it for the full weekend.

So wot would you recommend to bring 4 the W/E?- is there camping on site? If its for trailable boats the water depth must be pretty good- hmmm, might be worth getting the dinosaur out to get the dust off.

Really wishing I could get up that way for the week end Tony- but work commitments just do not allow it just now. Best of luck with it- hope it goes really well.

We had two very windy days. Saturday afternoon 15 to 20 knots.
Jaimie, Lindsay and I went out with 9.5m raceboard sails. Lindsay was the only one who survived. I had to abandon the first race and went out in the second with a 7.8m techno sail. Jaime had some board damage during the first race and had to go home. Lindsay did very well in the first two races with his big sail but didn't do the course correctly so he didn't get an officila result.
Sunday morning, we had 8 to 12 knots. I did the morning race with my 9.5. Lindsay was late arriving so he missed this one. The afternoon was back to 15 to 20 knots. I did the fourth race with my 8.5 Phantom sale and Lindsay kept his 9.5. It wa hard work but both of us finished with Lindsay miles ahead. We had one other sailboarder in the Sunday morning race. Brian who is an LCSC sailer on a phantom 320 and 7.5 m sail.
I don't know how Lindsay is feeling today but I am a bit sore.

Is there much of adifference between the 377 and the smaller one you usually race Tony? If the prices on E-bay are any sort of an indicator there appears to be a bit of resurgence of interest in race boards.

The shorter ones are easier to sail but a bit slower. particularly upwind in light wind. They are also less expensive.
