Friday at noon is the start of the Brisbane to Keppel race. Most of the maxi's are competing this year. If you can flex off always amazing to see these carbon monsters on the water.

Would be good to see a windsurfer kick their butt as well!

I would love to see them. Where's the best place to launch from?

Easiest spots would be either darling point at Manly or on the inside of wello. They sail around the bay for a while before the race. Amazing to see how much speed they can generate in as little as 5knots.

I will be sitting on a motor launch in my white suit sipping a fancy european beer.

Bart,
If you need some white shoes to go with that suit I'm positive my old man still has his ones from the eighties.

PS - those Maxis coming into Keppel bay here are an amazing sight. They make Double Heads at Rosslyn bay look small. Might have to get out on the windsurfer and guide them in

Old Maxis everywhere up here. Why just the other day I was in a pitched battle against Apollo returning from Hook to Airlie...He left an hour after me and got back before me....(It's only a two hour trip)

Richie now you are just rubbing it in! Hook reef would be amazing this time of year. you should try and get a spot on one of the yachts for the Hamo series, they are always looking for crew/ballast!
