I wouldnt take your kit, plenty to choose and try there and its nice to try new stuff.

The Maui Windsurf Company [info@mauiwindsurfcompany.com] can arrange accom, car hire board hire and they get better deals than you can get direct.

Maui sunset is favourite hotel and you can sail from their beach usually late afternoon.

June, july .aug are windiest but still plent in sept, oct, i like to go oct school holidays.

Handy to take a few tools for kit, pair of pliers, screwdriver etc

Ha,15 years ago stayed at the maui sunset,cost of renting gear about $500 for 2 weeks?qantas will take gear for free but not hawaiian,$500. will get a nice sail there.maybe theres some sort of organised trip I can tag on to?

Graham, looks likely we are doing a trip around June/July next year.
Probably staying on the North shore.
Looks like we will probably have a good size group going
