The last two weekends have been a jelly-fest.

Sunday before last, I encountered a patch 100m x 100m near the outermost leads to Manly - a patch where there was very little water seperating these wonderful organisms - jelly soup! Last weekend was no better.

It is a shame they don't come in flavoured varieties such that the sharks devour them.

In the meantime, we just need to have dodgem car-like sailing skills - which only works if you are chugging.

You can keep them down there, we've only got a few up our end of the bay.

Keep your speed above 25 knots and you won't feel them.
