Does anyone know if you can get lessons in the yeppoon area? I got a windsurfer for christmas but need a few more lessons.

I learnt in yeppoon 25 years ago. Top spot, the causeway was always a good spot for the first Few days, after that try cooed bay. sausage may even take pity on you as he did me in 1986.

G'day Katardy

There are about 10 Windsurfers in the Yeppoon/Rocky area. We would all be keen to give you a hand and some pointers. Unfortunately, no one does formal lessons in Yeppoon.

If there is plenty of wind around on the weekend or sometimes during the week, say 18knots plus, I'm sure you would find a few of us (generally after lunch) launching from the sailing club located on Main Beach.

Feel free to approach any of us on the day if you have any questions and I'm sure any of us will be able to assist.

Awesome response Mathew77, this is the sence of community I love about windsurfing. Also lucky you stepped in and saved katardy from a lesson with sausage, I've seen blackattack sail and it doesn't reflect well on his mentor - or is it just the pupil?
