A few of us are travelling down across the border for an afternoon sail at Lennox Heads to take advantage of the predicted NE. We are looking at arriving there at about 2pm and sailing from the car park near the surf club.

Feel free to join us if your keen for a road trip and sail somewhere different.

not sure what kind of sailing you do... you're obvioulsy keen to get out in the ocean, but if you're after some proper down the line wavesailing rather than cross to cross on ocean riding, then scrap lennox and head to broken head, or more specifically, suffolk park. i had an EPIC 2 sessions there back in late september in an early seabreeze. it screams up the beach and cleans up the wave. i also got a good cross-off session at tallows on a north easter a while back.

anyway just throwing up ideas! enjoy lennox

Thanks Bowsa-

we had some great surfs at Broken / suffolk over winter. The banks have been great this year. Will definately have to check it out for sailing potential.

Got there at 2 pm, fully powered up with 6.2 from standing on board, 2 hour session, best session in the ocean I have ever had! Killed the gold coast for wind strength, awesome!

I had a 5.5 up with a 99l single thruster and was powered about 70% of the time. Gusty but worth it. Could have done with a 6m but it was a good afternoon.
Chop on the inside was like Currumbin on the outgoing. Kind of strange considering it breaks further out. Must be current.
