Just wondering if anyone has sailed at Thorneside? To me ( Beth Boyd park) looks like a good spot for the whole family but I have never seen windsurfers there.

It's pretty shallow there and quite a walk at low tide.

Yes, been sailing there about 8 years.
Best in a northerly, but works in a SE, more patchy in SE than other locations.
As with most places you have to watch the tide, below about 1 metre at the Brisbane bar and it gets really soft to get out.

You will get a better sail at Manly than at Thorneside I live there but sail at Manly or Wynnum north much better angle.

Fine to sail in northerly high tide, never really out of depth, not quite as strong wind there as manly/wynnum/wello.
