Was sailing at VP today and there was a kiter towing some sort of frame about 3-4 metres behind him. When I first saw the wake thought of something sinister like a shark due to the spray, then when I went close to him almost hit it as didn't see it at first.
Any idea what was going on?? Frame was rectangular and about 1 x 1 1/2 metres.
Thought I'd post this here rather than kiting area in case it's a known thing and I'd feel a jerk!!!

Dude were trying to drag a screed around to smooth the water out so that we can rip some sic wakestyle manoeuvres in the flat water.

Its sort of like how they roll a cricket pitch to keep it flat and hard.

Sounds like a conspiracy to me. My theory is it's some kind of sonar and they're searching for something. Possibly something that goes "beep"...?

Could be ping locator of the missing plane and kiters are just on good scent
but to be fair I saw the device on the grass there and looks like part of that missing plane already with wings and spreae er bars

We would even take you but you wanta play silly buggas but you or Shano don't sail much anyway maybe once ever six months so yer we take anyone its about fun not having just the best sailors.

SWAT has been plagued by injury in the last year. I would say that our team has had more surgeries for windsurfing related injuries in the last year than any other team in the comp. Keep in mind that we are the smallest team in the comp too. I guess that it is just because we push too hard every time we go out for a sail. Where not into cruising around, we speed sail!!!
