Gday everyone, I was just going to see how golden beach might be tomorrow arvo with the tide showing 0.0? The forecast looks good but maybe not till the arvo. I've only windsurfed it in a north east. Does it also go pretty well on a south east?

thanks Shannon.

not sure, but forecast says 100 percent chance of rain, but high chance it might be wrong, this applies to the wind too

There are SE runs but be careful of the sandbanks because the position and depth of some are changing from week to week. Low tide sounds a bit dodgy at the level you mentioned.

i think that was Moz.

great spot to sail now Bribie has opened up. it's just the banks are constantly moving so you need to do a few safety runs prior to putting the hammer down or use small fins.

Yep that was me. Wind didn't last long. But yeah did my depth checks 1st! Went with a 36 fin. Twice in the last few months I've done runs with distances over 100km. I sailed through low tides but kept to my lines/ tracks and out if the harness if it got too shallow.

Apparently there is a large block of concrete with a pole sticking out of it submerged between the power boat club and the northern end of bribie. coast guard went looking for it after a boat hit the pole and destroyed its props. Think was removed today or maybe tomorrow.

Fair to say some of the crew have windsurfed over it.

Took a seaplane flight from Maroochydore to The Gap two weeks ago. Not quite low tide. First good NE'er last night prompting me to get these up.

Happy Valley completely dry. Could be a good riding or jumping spot on the northern end of North Bribie Is. in a NE'er.

The Gap. New dry sandbar on the most-northern end of South Bribie Is. Getting a little shallow in some spots... may have lost the "good jumping" claim I made earlier this year... only time will tell. You can see the wave wrap around the dry sand, to make the wave stand up in front of you in a SE'er. Also can see the flyover-bar now has only one channel through it (was two channels in April).

Shallow water and some new sandbars off the southern end of North Bribie, making it look quite safe when having a bad day.

Great shots.

in a NE wind happy is worth a look. Take off near the end of the rock wall. Cross shore wind.

when break through first happened the new bar was exceptional. Like Fuerte with clear water and lines of waves to hit head on. Now it's disorganised. I'm kinda hoping higher tides make it work better. Keeps changing tho.

I made a prediction a while ago that the new bar to the bottom of Kings beach might become a good wave sailing spot - Just need wind.

Another blueys shot. Check out the waves on the southern side of the new bar and the northrn outside part.
might need to zoom in. Cyclone is gonna light this place up. Starting to look like a point break

had a dredge around the golden beach flats hoping the wind would come in on the weekend. It's getting pretty shallow in spots.

Went out Tuesday in the SE. There is enough water with a 37cm fin at dead low but as usual - checks your depths - find a line to follow with reference points and stick to it. And watch out for submerged logs

It's getting more deceptive. I heard you had a disagreement with one of our 1000 sandbanks.
