I have been wanting to try and organise a bit of a freestyle session for a while now to get the sailors together from around the place who are either into a bit of the new style trickery or just looking to make the first steps into learning some old school carving 360's or whatever.
I am thinking that the long range forcast for the weekend, sunday is looking good for such a thing and wanted to put the word out to see if anyone was interested? Wello is nice and flat on the inside (despite the kites) which is great for freestyle.
I also have my (still for sale :)) 09 109ltr freestyle and some of the 09/2010 sails to use if anyone wanted to have a demo of some freestyle gear. Maybe we could have a clinic or something.
Anyway - just putting the word out to all the budding (and guru - HC thats you boy :)) freestylers/sailors to get the idea moving.
haha - sweet da vecta.... maybe this can be the tester and we tel you how good it was!
trauma - i hear you have HC's old JP - good stuff, would be awesome to sail with you - its been a while :)
swoosh - theres plenty of advice to go around (albeit possibly wrong hahaha :)) and i always find watching people go for stuff really gives you a good idea of the body positions etc. Ill throw the good old tricktionary in too so we can dream about landing planing one-handed burner to flaka.....
awesome - im glad there are a few people who are interested! its always great fun sailing with others who are learning similar things to you, and makes the challenge of landing something before there rest even more satisfying.

Freestylers have the understanding of the delights gained from the "inyafaceabillty" of a trick. For example pulling off a trick inches away from someone waterstarting after just stacking the same trick. Haha.
It'll be north-east and high tide in the arvo. We'll be weaving through the kites.
I would really like to get a close up look on dry land at the way you pop for a vulcan. I can't get off the water popping from the middle of the board.
It would be pretty cool if someone could spare a bit of time on the day to get some of the moves.... or stacks, on video or still camera. Should make for some educational and entertaining viewing!
I plan on being there most of the arvo (leave pass approved ) so I'm more than happy to do an hour or so behind the camera. I will be easy to find as I will be the one wiping out all the time!
Btw. I have a JP Freestyle board left, 91 litres, year 2007/08. If anyone is interested to try and maybe buy this one, let me know and I'll bring it to Wello.
