What's the best way of getting a fin to fit snuggly.
Have two newish boards with power box fins. With the screw done up real tight on both boards the fin is moving slightly both side to side and front to back.
I have used some cloth tape on the fin in certain places with some success.
Is there a better way ?
Cheers

There Is 2 different length bolts you can get, it is possible you have the longer one and its tightening into the fin before it is " sandwiching" the board.

Good point. The screw is one that was supplied with the fin and board so it should be correct. I just tried adding another washer to effectively shorten the screw and fin is now tight front to back but still moves side to side. It pulls in slightly beyond the board surface as well . I have tried 3 other fins which fit nicely in other boards, all a bit loose. Fin box may be the issue.

Just shave a bit off the top of the fin where it contacts the two small tabs in the fin box. Now snug. Thanks Simon
