Ok, thought I had a login to ka72 or whatever it's called and couldn't be stuffed signing up at the minute, can anyone help a tired old coal miner by advising what the minimum requirements are for a gps to attend Burrum in 2023. I don't really care about the technical stuff, just wouldn't mind going for a bit of a sail and a few beers. I believe you can't participate without a gps so give us the drum, thanks.

Windwanderers accept any gps for the event including Garmin watches.

I was actually thinking a Garmin watch might be the way to go, couldn't remember if they were acceptable.

Now, punters, you've got to admit that is the most interesting question posed on the Qld section of SB forums for a while. so hyped Tardy to hear the answer.

Ha, about time Gordon....ps I did tell ya missus that she is going to Burrum for a holiday, if you want to come and bring a board or 3 thats fine too.!

ps If you catch the GPS bug then you might find the Garmin watch will not be ok for the main GPS events at gpsteamchallenge.

Now now Phil, I didn't say I was going this year. You're excited because if I went it would be an additional person that you have gone faster than. Besides, Tardy reckons he can't go his year so I might just practice for 15 mths and look to go next year. Anyway, how do you blokes get so much time off work?
