Most of the boats in WAGS got back just before the storm. This one got blown on to the wall, a couple more got pushed onto the bank to the NE of the harbour entrance. They're all okay.

Ouch, how was it in your boat? Bumpier than an after party on a Friday night I'd imagine...

wags is Wednesday afternoon gentlemens sailing , basically the slowest boats start first and the fast cats and tris last (they can't use kites though)
Just a bit of fun chasing big boats

Before you call me gay gesalt see if you can do 36k's on a formula board in 15 to 20 knots

Can't recommend it less on a beam reach - with an 11

i didn't mind it so much. fin can make a big difference but it's the type of chop that ends up killing you.

once off the leeds at wello i was genuinly scared for my safety while reaching.

Yep, same spot. Was really happy to get into smoother water.

yeah, same.

i ended up heavily sheeted out and in the chicken straps heading straight down wind through the channel.

was still planing

the absolute best place i had a session was at suttons beach. wait for a 15 knot easterly and you sail parallel to the shore between margate and the pocket at suttons.

it's lit up sailing through small breakers and swell but you are sailing across the swell so you can pick your path instead of driving the nose into the back of the swells.

heaps of fun.
