Long time no data from inner beacon, now banana bank too? Spitfire channel? Who maintains them? Surely other people who use the bay, maybe even with more "important" things to do than windsurfing, needs these to work?

Anthony all back ,maritime safety qld, he is based in Southport office and often drives barge to maintain beacons.

Trevor Berrill called BOM re why anemometers in Moreton Bay are not working. He received the following.

Spitfire Channel - don't know

Inner Beacon - major infrastructure overhaul of equipment there so may be some months yet

Banana Bank - repair work - 1 month till back in operation

maritime advised ,bom have schedule repairs next week for spitfire and banana

At least they wont let the airport go down (I hope).

I also asked BOM. They are moving inner beacon apparently. Suspected battery fail for the other two, like Aus3333 I was told a week or so. Would have been nice to get a reading from banana today, cos I would have packed my 4.0
