An all time session this afternoon at Beachmere. Full power 4.7m on the waveboard until Mucksy decided to give breaking his leg a good go. He limped out go get some shots before i decided to crash into his ribs with the nose of my freestyle board. Let it be known he called for a closer shot!!!!

Some pics of the session:

This last one is about 2 seconds away from my nose connecting with Mucksy's ribs :)

haha yeah was awesome. I did edit these before posting because they are a little flat - not sure what happened.

Havent found a fin, but will ask around because i know there is one around for sure.

Did you get out? Definately need to come have a sail here one day when its on - great place for both freestyle and wave boards alike.

For the record, closer shot does not mean full force smashing of the chest!!!! Its all good.... For a moment Wilba did actually think that he had killed me as I was speachless for about 60 secs, GASPING for any air.....

Never gotten battered in a session in all my life....

After slapping my back forward looping (gotta stop doing that!!) I literally thought I had snapped my leg into two.... Thought it was going to be hanging from skin I hit it that hard.... Then the ultimate fully planning SHUNT to the chest topped it off.

I really wish I could have a new body right now...... shattered........

Photos are worth it tho...

Hi will, is your fin cut straight across at the end? mines already cut down for freestyle but still rounded at the end. does it make it better? cheers

hey starboarder - its not completely straight, i copied the slight curve similar to the MFC ones you can get. The key with freestyle fins is starting with a narrow base - a freeride fin is best. This means the fin still accelerates and keeps good pressure but slides as soon as you want it to. you dont want any flex either - a cut down freeride fin has a pretty thick foil. This one is about 17-18cm i think.

Anyone know how to remove these and put up the ones with a bit of editing?

does look promising for bump n jump , definetly there when i feel the bay water will be safe enough for me. moreton bay council has posted beach closed signs up all over the place in the last week
i can't take the risk.

all those little ramps lined up makes it looks like perfect forward-loop-learning territory!

are those conditions typical, or does it only work on a certain direction?

great pics!

The place works best on SSE, but also good on NE as well. Anytime its windy SE then this spot is great. these pics are shot fairly close in because we didnt have a water housing, so the water is only about 1ft deep, so thats why the ramps are smaller. As you go out though they get bigger and bigger, and its a great place for a waveboard as you can ride them backside (or frontside if you can nail it - not easy!) on the way back in, then get jump after jump on the way out.

Great place to learn to loop, only thing is if its too ESE then its dead onshore and makes it a little hard to head up into the ramps. Hopefully can get the crew up there on the next decent SE, because its a really underated spot in SE QLD.
