Wow Guys and girls great effort.
Now the results are yet to be done, so this is a quick informal wrap up from today.
Firstly huge thanks to adele (spelling?? sorry brad - but we have to stop calling her brad's mum

) and al for once again manning the boat and running the races in such a professional manner. These guys rock - mind you i would love to have seen that start line collision from where they were sitting.
Ken great work on the new club barbie.
Secondly, to all those who braved the conditions - super effort, particularly the new comers. What an initiation - you all survived, and by the size of the grins I'm hoping it was from a great day and not grimacing from pain. (that's tomorrow

)
Using the peel island data the wind was around the 25 kt mark with some very intense gusts - especially at that outside mark. All manner of gear took to the water with the bulk of the race fleet running 6.3 to 7.0, and the smarter ones were on 4.5 and 5.0 wave sails - except tribey, who really wished he could play with the big boys today, but alas he had no toys

.
My personal highlights
1. phil nott racing on a 50 wide speed board.
2. Dave M's fully lit air just before the jibe - Seriously, i was only thinking how can i keep my gear in the water, and he was jumping race gear!!!
3. Fyfee gong over the front right in front of me - i reckon he's having a bex and a good lay down as i type.
But by far, was the most extraordinary crash on the start-line of the first race - boards and rigs and bodies flying everywhere. Glad it wan't me. Who knows what happened? I heard that Leo snapped his mast across Brad's (man of steel) shoulder

.
By far the most exciting racing i've had in a while - who said we don't run high wind slalom

Hope everyone pulls up OK. And look forward to catching you all at the next race.
Cheers
