Looking awesome for this Sunday, big winds predicted from the North so Wynnum will be the go. Can't wait.

Hey Guys

Just a reminder, due to last years uneventful season, paid up Bayside members from last year have this years membership for free and new members still pay last years prices for new memberships.

Come on down, get a smile on your face, wind in your hair and have a race

Magic, the wind has swung back to a northerly. It was saying nor westerly yesterday which would have made racing interesting. Hopefully now the influence of the sea breeze will bring it back around to a nor easterly, which will make it perfect for some high wind duels. Are any of you GC speedsters coming up today? Brad and Phil in particular??

Awesome here at Wynnum. A good 20 knots here already from the north east.

Magic day, time to get some high wind kit. Plenty of carnage but still a fantastic race with plenty of high speed duels. I hope the boat crew were not out there too long. Thanks to them and all the bayside crew for another great event.

yeah there was a heap of carnage at the turn buoys today - a hoot to watch.
We were rescued by the Coast Guard - big thanks to them, they do a great job. Made land at about 6pm.
We were very happy to be on land before dark!

Everything got wet! Its hard to pinpoint what went wrong with engine.
All was good, we were pulling in the last marker as a large wave rolled through and the engine just died.
Took a while to be rescued as the Coast Guard was having a busy day.

What a bugger, glad you got in before dark but a nasty way to end the day. Thanks again for running the boat, as Simon said it was a perfect course in trying conditions.

Hi Shane/Jess

Just want to say sorry for you being stranded out there for so long. We will do all we can to make sure it doesn't happen again and to be able to get you back to shore if it does.

Hi all

Results are up on the website.

I think we were all caught out by the strong winds so a lot of sailors did not have numbers or very dodgy numbers. This makes the job for the boat crew so difficult.

So be warned from now on if you do not have your proper sail numbers on both side of your sails we will NOT record you place.

I know this sounds tough, but I sure you will agree we need to make life for the boat crew as easy as possible

You can get numbers through Digital Ink on 3390 6288.

I cant believe you guys are racing whilst your Forcast Officer is still away sailing the QLD coast........(currently at Great Keppel Island, heading slowly south)
