Continuation of the great fun racing we've had over the last month this Sunday.

Season has really ramped up now the northerlies have finally arrived, and we have another good forecast, so come on down and join in - multiple classes for all standards.

For those of you that live in the western suburbs (thats anywhere west of the gateway!) - its gonna be hot as **** on Sun, so if nothing else you will be able to enjoy our cool bayside breezes, so come on down!!

New notice of race is on website

www.baysidesailboards.com.au

See you there

from what i've heard same course configuration open and 88 just gybe at a mark that is another x metres on from rookie/freeride mark.

It's good to see the club being proactive in solving problems

Hi Scully, for insurance reasons you need to be a competitive member of one of the WQ affiliated clubs (currently Bayside, Windwanderers and SEQ) then you can join the racing. There is a race fee to pay for hiring the rescue boat and other costs of the day but it is only generally around $10-$15 bucks.

Would be great to see you and anyone else interested getting involved. If you are not a member you can join on the day and I would encourage all sailors to become club members. It gives you third party insurance cover if you hurt anyone windsurfing or even if your kit blows into someones car etc. It also helps to protect the people organising the events if anything goes wrong. These folk put a lot of effort in putting these events together and the least we can do is become members of their clubs so they can have some protection and pay for the costs involved.

location of racing depends on wind direction and tide. This Sunday its at Wynnum. Get on the Esplanade and go north as far as you can to Wynnum Creek. You'll see us there on the foreshore.Sign on 1230. Bring some tape or similar for a temp' number for your sail.

Great shots Richie!

Thanks again to Dan and Steph for running a very tight ship!

Bad luck Scotty for blowing your mast and becoming a mark of the course for half an hour.

I wanted to use you as the inside gybe mark but Simon insisted that we go and get you out of the way.

That's a great shot there Hooray. Beats the hell out of the old days when there were only two slalom sails on the water. Sorry I didn't offer you too much competition back then Vando.

Thanks to all of the organisers again and especially Dan and Steff for getting me out of the poo when I turned my mast into toothpicks. You were all very lucky that mast broke because I was mowing you all down (after yet another dodgie start) and I am sure I would have won the next three races had it not been for the failure. That's my story and I am sticking with it. Jessica beleives me...

I retract all my previous compliments after seeing the race results. This is an outrage! clearly Dan and Stef have given preferential treatment to their fellow countryman Chris Thompson. I paid good money to have him disqualified only to see myself wiped from the slate.

No more mister nice guy! from here on in, im taking these matters into my own hands.

Richie, nice shot above cant believe how big my arms look in that lycra.
