I have been holding out for a long time, but after many months of deliberation I think it's time to face reality and sell all my gear. It's something that I never thought, nor hoped to ever have to do, but I simply just don't have the time to sail anymore between family commitments and other interests. I would like to see the whole lot go in one go. My asking price is $2500.

104litre Starboard S-Type freeride board – another blistering fast board designed for the then supercross discipline, it's really easy going nature has seen me out in pretty knarly onshore bump and jump conditions. There has been some enquiries about splitting some items, I could perhaps split the kit as follow as it is the way it was used in any case:
S-Type with 2 big sails, big boom, 430 mast and long extension as one setup,
JP FSW with the 3 smaller sails, small boom, 2 smaller masts and short extension as another setup.

The advert in the buy&sell section have been updated to reflect this, thanks for looking.

You will want to sail again and it will cost you X times as much to get back into it. Just pack your stuff up nice and safe and tuck it away.

I guarantee you'll be glad you did in a season or two.

Sounds like you need to sort priorities.....!!!

Sailordude, listen to Ian and Jonesy. Since becoming a Dad and starting a electrical contracting comany Ive been flat out. Havent even touched the water for at least 6 weeks now and im not really sure when i will again, but id rather have my gear and not be able to use it than need it and not have it.

I havent sailed for weeks, and have more than a few disctractions of much higher importance on currently..(a 5mnth old having heart surgery being one!)
I could easily say the same thing, list all my gear. No time..bigger priorities...etc...
But I know the situation is only temporary....

Why don't you swap all the gear for one board and 2 sails... Just work on the 'windy rule' if its windy I can go sailing...if its not I do the other stuff...lets face it living in SE QLD means you already get more no windy days than what we all should be entitled to!
Or do as I do threaten to take up darts, pool, betting on the nags, smoking and heavy drinking, eat fast food get really fat and smelly and spend my days at the local pub!...always 'burp and fart and scratch your nuts' at the end of that call for maximum effect!

I hear you all, and thanks. It is probably the most unsure decision I have had to make and yeah, I'll probably break down and cry when I see it all go.
Even my wife says keep it, you might used it again. I've been through a similar stint before and had to stop sailing for a couple of years. Got back into it quick a again by dropping a small fortune on the current kit.
Perhaps I should do some further thinking...

sailordude take it from me, keep the gear. I sailed about a dozen times this season and six of those were at competitions where I took out 1st place in NSW wavesailing. I'm in the same boat as you, family and work 12 hour shifts with 3 hours travelling time. My gear rarely see's the light of day and is stored away in my shed. You will regret your decision and you have forgot rule No1, always listen to your wife.

Don't sell it
After my kids were born I rarely got the chance to get out and my gear sat in the garage for ~13 years When the kids asked what all that gear was I took them down the beach to show them and got hooked again.....Dad's revenge [}:)]
If I didn't have the old gear sitting there I wouldn't have got back into it and realised what was missing from my life
