Afternoon sea breeze is picking up down at the bay. Am going for a drive to Manly to see if it is worth taking out the big gear. Will report back soon.

3pm...current wind speed at manly harbour is hovering around 9 knots NE.

Confirmed as per RichieFish's comments. Easterley 8-10 knots and a low tide.
