Hi all

I'm going wave sailing on Tuesday and Wednesday on the Gold Coast.

Forecast is a 21knot south easterly.

Is Currumbin the best spot?

as you can imagine surfers paradise really gets behind surfing and all its watersports. so they have marked out all the best windsurfing spots to make it easy for you with little yellow and red flags. cowabunga dude

Looks like there'll be enough East in it, so you've probably timed it just right

hi - sorry for late response. did you go out?

from the times i've tried currumbin on a southerly forecast, it needs a lot of east for it to get wind coming around the rock. An ESE direction is ideal, but it's pretty rare to have any strength if it's too much east

what usually happens on a SE forecast;

- southern end of the coast ends up being SSE or even S

- Northern end usually SE or even ESE.

if you just want wind, the northern end gets the most

I was fully powered up.

I had a ball
