Had a n odd thing happen on saturday.
the gt31 was on the SPEED setting, and after a run of 115kph , I headed back up wind and the gps started scrolling through the statistics, like max, 5secmax, avspeed....... I pressed the butten to make it just show speed again and I did another run (109kph)., after that run itdid it again and started scrolling, but would nly show 109, and not the 115.
The 115 was still shown a s max on the tripmeter though.
This is the first tme its done this , and Im wondering if its normal or there is a problem happening

Those are solid wing landyacht speeds Not water, pity, and not very good as the lake was damp and the front tyre scrubbed out, so there is a huge sideways component in the runs, and the yacht is old

Sounds like you were in "speed genie" It's designed for windsurfers who have the thing in a water proof pack and find it hard to work the joystick while sailing.

They set it to a trigger speed, lower than their expected downwind run but higher than their upwind run. once triggered the display scrolls thru what you have set up in speed genie, (the GT11 doesn't have any choice, I don't have a GT31, but I believe you have some control over the scrolled display). that display stays like that until you go over the trigger speed again. Means you can see the result of the last run after you've finished it.

If you go to "restore" in the max speed menu, it will give you the best 14 or so speeds since you last erased it. The same goes for the average menu.

With GT31 if you go to 'misc' page you will find 4 screen options for the speed genie display.
These are......
max/ns max on/off
history max on/off
Max speed on/off
ns max avg on/off

these allow you to select which of the displays you want to see.
Ns refers to the 'speed avg time' you have selected in 'settings'.
If you have a look at Tom Chalko's 'MtBest' web site all is explained.

Yeah and is very important to say that this option in MISC you got only with latest
FW_V1.2B1405x.S version of firmware (Default firmware of GT31 and BGT31 don't have it). Also with that latest firmware you have in misc: delete all and save all to card, and there is no need to delete all parameters manualy, delete all clear everything :)
