jibing

hi . sometimes when i jibe in choppy waters my board jumps out of the water when i'm carving and i either get a spinout of fall . is there a solution for this ? and if there is how do i fix it ?

Lean forward and bend the Knees. Try and keep your weight going throught the boom and mast.

go into you gybe with more speed. much more speed.

What ejmack said. If youve got everything else happening right (if you can plane out of gybes in flat water) keep weight forward on the board and bend the knees to absorb the chop.

Do what I say not what I do but.. One tip I got from the guy cribb clinic which made a BIG diference to me bouncing in gybes ( when I do it right) is set up 50 -100m before . Get things under control really put your weight into the harness for mast foot pressure using his stance etc then as you enter just pull down on the boom to unhook and keep elbows down and pull down into the boom as you enter.. Stops you standing up to unhook as that's when my board starts to get out of control and bounce.. Also rake the rig forward a tad straight after you unhook which will allow you to take your rear foot out easier..Smoother entry makes for much smoother gybes..
