I won an iPad last week and was wondering how and if I can set it up to download and analyse my GPS files. Have the dongle for SD card but having never used apple machines not sure where to start. Would make life easy on holidays as easier to pack.

It is impossible as far as I can tell.

Lucky you.

I think one way you could analyse files would be through KA72.com

I've never handled files with my iPad so I'm not sure how you navigate to the card.

Thanks for the replies.
If it could be done the iPad would certainly be handy in this regard.

Chris you sound like you have tried it.

Sell it and buy a cheap netbook. They have real keyboards and already run windows. You might end up with a few hundred in change too.

They have SD card slots built in as well.

KA72 woud be the way to go except that, as above, there is no way to navigate to the file on the SD card.

If Dylan was to create a KA72 app it would be another story perhaps...

So to view files on a card with an iPad you need an app?

Sort of makes sense as there doesn't appear to be the iPad version of Finder or Explorer or even a command line.
