it looks like 25 may have found another spot down that way...an island that is a good 6km reach away

Yes just out from Yunderup, I've also had a look at that, but the run may be a bit short, the island is only 200 metres long, although there does seem to be a sand bank extending from it, think it will work in a westerly. Sailing out from Yunderup could be tricky as the launch area is in a windshadow.
And a 6km sail back up wind after a speed session doesn't sound like fun!! Although Nairns would be closer.
