does it mater if the 102 is set to 5 sec or 1 sec i don,t get proper speed reading .i had a run where it felt a lot faster but read slower

Yes. if the log rule isn't 1sec you might not get a 2sec on KA72. I recently did a factory reset rather than clear log and when i checked settings it was on 5sec.

And the feel of speed can be very deceptive, eg flat water will feel slower than choppy.

well that will explain the ka 72 results .it also seems to slow my dash ware readings ,it shows a brief 30 when you can here it on the water you have a sustained speed for a while and does not pick up on the gusts.i will retry set at 1 sec
