just spotted this post on KA-72 of a windsurfing post. A 53.91 2sec peak (spike maybe) and a 50.39 10 sec run This surely has to be a kite looking at the tracks - you can download from the Big List (page 5 at moment)

Choco,
Yeah I knew kites have gone faster, it's just that the track was listed as windsurfing not kiting. Still impressive when you watch that vid too.

Looks like it may be in km's... lots like a lot of close-reach runs, with not many downwind runs... given a total distance of 9kms.

Mathew,
Definitely Knots as KA-72 processes the file similar to any other programme and looking at that video with the car chasing him down the run, speeds ain't in kilometers. Interesting to note though is the downloaded file I had a look in realspeed only shows a 2 sec peak of 48.737Kn with the invalid spikes of 53+kns eliminated. I'm surprised that KA-72 hasn't picked these spikes up?

Anyway I now know it was a kiter and not windsurfer as it first appeared on KA-72 so my initial excitement has waned somewhat

With some reluctance since they're kiters...you really do have to pay this.

Getting out into the storm while the rest of the nation retreats to the safety of indoors; now that is living!
