Video from the session yesterday where Cookie and Izaak got their top 2-second runs of over 45 knots!

Top sailing by all, video definitely showcased what it was like. A bit tougher in person, especially trying to remain locked in and settled before hitting the flat water. it's only a matter of time and it's all going to click at this venue big time!

Awesome. Good to see how a different spot works. Wish we had something like that here.

True, but it reminds me of the east bank runs. Standing waves on the run in,broad 80 deg tun onto the flat stuff with standing waves at the end. Always got ya heart going. Got too shallow in the end

Spot on mate! Hold on for dear life hoping the fin doesn't let go until you can relax as the board settles into the flat! Heat rate & adrenaline at it finest

Saw this recent video on Sandy Point, be nice if a big storm event could do something to reduce the height of those dunes!

You do have to remember that northern bank West inlet only works about once a year at that wind strength, and we all only got 5or6 runs before the wind swung

Do you ever get a wave at the inlet mouth? or up the western end of the beach?

Cookie is probably best to respond about waves at the inlet, but I don't think there's anything worth sailing on a wave board, with much better spots at places like Marrawah, which is not too far away.

Cookie and I got out at West Inlet again on Tuesday. Wind was lighter, but the run was better! We both managed to get over 40 knots and I got to swap between my iSonic 60 and 52 to get a feel for how they compare/differ while using the same 6.2m sail.
