Hello fast people

I've written a site that maps twitter posts onto a global map. If you post #windsurflaunch from your phone (with location turned on) then it will show on this map. The idea is to have a single map that shows the global windsurfing activity.

As the technology-friendly end of the windsurfing fraternity, it would be great if you could try it..

Be good if you could show other hastags on the map as we are starting to use #nswwind for wind reports in nsw.

I can do one with "#WindReport". No point putting NSW in front of it because the map will do that for you.

For #nswwind, there's only one tweet and it's coming from a house in Newcastle. You might want to delete this.

The idea behind the site is that people tweet from the beach (so they don't reveal their home address)

Also that tweet you saw was mine, fortunately it picked up the wrong address!

there was only one geolocated tweet...

The map won't show anything that's not got a detailed location on it.

Everyone - feel free to send in some test tweets to see them come up on screen.

I'd like to get an idea this weekend of how likely this is to work... providing it's windy obviously.

It's loads cooler now...

I ran another test today. It's possible to take a picture of the conditions and tweet that too.
