I've found a place fairly close to where I live, on the north side of Sydney. Its a reach of about 1.6kms with over 500 meters behind a tidal flat with oyster racks. Locals tell me the north easterly is pretty constant and can get quite strong with very flat water behind the racks.
Looking forward to trying it soon, hopefully.
Hawksbury?
A little further north. Check out my pictures as I've got a Google Earth image there. I would think the Hawkesbury river would be too gusty with the big hills around. A north easter at this place doesn't have big hills to go over and has a couple of kms of water to cross before hitting this run.
I live in Hornsby and it will take about 40 to 45 minutes to get there unless there is a traffic jam on the F3. So not that much longer getting there than getting to Narrabeen Lake and I am so tired of the gusty and holey NE wind there.
