Hi Folks,
Just letting you know that SpeedFortnight is still on - yeeharr!!!
I'm booking the accom within the next few days; If you sent me a pm for accommodation, I should have sent you back a follow up message, to confirm that you are still coming.
If you haven't heard from me (or have just decided to get your act into gear), send me a message.

Hi Neb's,
here's an excerpt from Mathew's original post in the SpeedFortnight thread as of a couple of months ago:
The Al's (not going to be there) SpeedFortnight.!!!
The dates are Sat 26th Sept - Sun 11th Oct.
SpeedCentral will be running again, so that we can get together for some serious banter around the fireplace -> just remember to bring your GPS..!
Even though Al wont be there, he will be with us in spirit, as we hit the speed course.
So far we have about a dozen guys that have put their name down with a big tick. If you are interested, shoot me a Seabreeze message.
In previous years, Al and a few other guys have hired houses for the two weeks - bunking in one of those houses has cost around $200-$300 per person. But the beds fill quick, so you will need to book a spot... so shoot me a message so that I put you on the "bed needed" list.
Note this is not an event -> we are just getting together to have some fun sailing.

with the dates the 26th to the 11th sep what would be the best days for the tides or doesnt it matter

It runs for 15 days, so we will have a full tide cycle, ie: tides usually take about a week to swing from a morning-low tide to a morning-high tide.
In either case it doesn't matter... if its windy at 6am, there will be guys on the water at first-light... likewise when it gets dark.

yep.
The tides are about 6.5 hrs apart, so if you want to sail in the warmest part of the day which is likely to be around 1-2pm, (assuming there is wind) we want a previous low tide at about 12-1am.
