To All,

The thread on Seabreeze that questions Chris's results has caused much grief and stress to all concerned.

Chris has asked that he be removed from the GTC site, mainly due to my insinuations of impropriety.

I agree that they may have been over the top, and were possibly unwarranted.

I am extremely sorry for any stress I have caused, and as soon as I can figure out how to remove someone from the site without causing the database to melt down then I will do so.

*sigh*

Yes full apologies to Chris.

Can someone, give me Chris D's contact details, if it is OK with him, pm me. I want to personally apologize to him, and ask him to return to the GTC.

This is really devastating news for our sport. As a sailor who hails from SA my experience of Chris is that he gives a lot to our sport - being the catalyst for most of the events in SA. Without an event he organised at Lake George I would never have started speed sailing - thanks Chris. I hope that we can convince Chris to come back to the challenge. Well done to all the guys in SA for taking advantage of what are possibly once in a lifetime conditions down at Goolwa.

At the request of Nebbs & Hardie, the topic has been removed.

Maybe I'm in a great mood from an awesome adventure to the north of the state, but I read the whole three pages as a "first time reader", and saw a fairly balanced and even discussion of doppler -vs- track points.

Ain't that just forums...

Enjoy ..

I wish the original topic was never started, I just couldn't see the point.

To Nebs, thanks for setting up such a great web site, the best windsurfing speed site in the world easy, it's your baby
I can see how things can get out of hand when a debate gets started on a forum, I bet you've had better days mate, nice to see you move forward with your sorry. But by saying that, I'm deff not laying any blame, because I don't think there is on either side.

To Chris, I sincerely hope you don't leave GPSTC and you do accept Neb's apology, as 25 said it'd be a sad day.

Lets have a cooling down period before anyone is removed

Cheers,
Bob

I 'm with Laurie, a harmless discussion about doppler -vs- track points.

Just because he is fast doesn't excuse his childish dummy spits.
