Nice to See Shaun. Nice and steady video stream. Tripod?

I see that there seems to be alot of upwind traffic sailing upwind of the sailors doing the downwind run.

nice one fitzy.

howdy salty,

no issues on sunday, wind was light and the course was working in both directions as the wind was swinging when the squalls came through.

i htink the biggest obstruction was the barge.

Bloody hell, that's way to flat for me (seriously) even the boards weren't chucking up any wake.

The only way Hardies run gets that smooth is when the weed is floating on the surface of the water and then it's a slalom course.

Great vid, good turnout looked like another great event

Hi guys,
Just looking at the Burrum footage.
please correct if Im wrong but looking at the top of the course it seems to be quite tight upwind and then bear away but not to a full deep reach like the pit.
Could someone please give us a quick explanation of how the place works??
Looking at doing the weekend in the future as it just looks unreal and warm!!
Obviously Vando knows where the sand gets shallow, classic!!
Cheers,
Larko.

Yep I do now lol.

That footage was on the Sunday the wind was very south and Square pretty much up and down the bank.
Sat was prob SE much better angle for speed sailing.
You also need a low tide 0.8 and less is good.
The shallow bits are mainly around the washout thats where i hit ground but i did cut it to close.
