The ferrule in my Severne Red rdm mast isn't straight, how much of an issue is this, is this likely to effect sail performance significantly? Is the mast more likely to fail?

There is a kink in the mast straightness at the assembled joint.
Has anyone else seen this?
(Used 12 times, not left rigged etc)

What did Severne say?

..."the issue in question emerges when the mast is exposed to prolonged tension and high temperature".When first reported the mast had been used 9 times in Foilglide sails between September & May in the uk, so 20 degrees max for a few hours each time
