Just noticed board angle, that's really windward rail up.
Is that an ideal angle?
If not is the fin too big? Wouldn't think so that close to shore!

Barely 12 knots of wind. I had to wait for Shelby to get a gust and start planning.
The speed course usually goes the other way and this is the area where we are winding up in a WSW or struggling to fight the sail and stay on the water in a SW.
This was about 1/2 tide of a very high low tide.
On a low tide the 'glass' extends out a couple of meters in a 20 knot wind. It actually feels faster to run out a bit in the small ripples.......
BTW. It's not always like this. The sand moves around a bit and the bigger tides groom the bank.

edit: Speed, maybe 20 knots?

lol.
Yeah choco the Cremo's were running a comp called speedhounds for dog GPS speeds,Wilbur was clocked at 25 one day.
On the youtube I got up to about 24kts but there was stuff-all wind for that one.
Decrep - I get her up on the lee rail when the wind is light to try and get some air under the board,I have had the Flow doing 33 kts like this so it doesn't seem to be too detrimental.
Ahhhh yes the Misty, she's a treasured classic.
Thanks for the shots Daffy, there are a few nice Pit moments there.

Big Thanks to The Pit Crew for posting the Pics of Shelby and the explanation of lifting the windward rail.

Tried it today and was amazed what difference it made sailing through "holes" and light wind sections.

Happy muppet
